The company said in response to feedback from content producers, a solution in which dislike, or “dislike,” reactions to YouTube videos will no longer be public is now being introduced as a kind of experiment.
You’ll still be able to push dislike, but these down-pointing thumbs will only be seen by the content producers themselves, so they’ll still be aware if their viewers might not have really liked one of their new videos. All of this, according to official communications, is necessary because deliberate dislike campaigns have been launched against some videos and content producers, with the masses pushing dislike just to “score” the channel, not actually expressing an opinion on the specific video.
