Jack Dorsey had made no secret of being a big bitcoin fan so far, but no one expected only him and the cryptocurrency exchange rate to be seen on his camera during a parliamentary hearing.
An interesting thing to observe this week at the congressional hearing of the leaders of the big platform companies - i.e. Twitter, Facebook and Google - were those who did not fall asleep in the otherwise less exciting event. Jack Dorsey, founder and CEO of Twitter, has a very interesting lesson that was well seen throughout the video conference call.
The interesting thing about the watch is that it displays six digits, not because it also has a second hand. Instead, the digital display can be used to track the current exchange rate of bitcoin.
Dorsey was known to believe in the success of bitcoin and also had investments. So far, it has not been possible to know - the Housing Culture has certainly not gone out to photograph it - that he believes in cryptocurrencies so much that he looks at the exchange rate instead of an hour. It could have been suspicious, as he had previously stated that in ten years (there are still 3 of these left) bitcoin will be the only currency.
The Verge has been looking for the widget: you can see a $ 399 device called Cokite BlockClock Mini in the picture. However, it is not easy to get it, because for the time being it is only possible to book one device at a time, and then the manufacturer notifies the customer when there is stock.
Less pretty pieces like the Ticrthing can be ordered for as little as € 85. And those who aren’t scared of soldering irons and some programming can choose from half a dozen designs depending on whether they want to build their exchange rate clock based on Arduino, Raspberry Pi, NodeMCU or ESP8266.
